Bitesize Basics Videos - Buybacks and turning them into public assets

Councils acquiring private sector homes can turn them into council homes, temporary accommodation or a private let-through using a separate entity.

Two funding streams are available to help secure more homes. The Council Housing Acquisition Programme (CHAP) and the Single Homeless Accommodation Programme (SHAP) are available to help with the purchase of private sector property to turn into homes. This bitesize video aims to show you good practice considerations for acquisitions under these funding streams or other funding.

Airey Miller can help you with assistance and advice on your acquisition programme.
