Airey Miller acted as employer’s agent and clerk of works for this mixed-use development comprising 168 flats (93 shared ownership and 75 social rent), with 50,000ft2 of commercial space over the first two floors. It also included a new public space with a children’s play area, and extensive landscaping to increase local biodiversity.

The commercial area is being built to ‘shell and core’ until a commercial partner can be identified, with prices for alternative façades to these areas pre-agreed. We worked collaboratively with the developer and client to ensure the commercial space was appropriately designed for the proposed uses identified by the commercial consultant’s report on local requirements.
